Where are you going? Exeter

Lincoln City's furthest away trip next season by quite a lot of country miles, will be a journey to St James' Park in Exeter. Home of the Grecians, St James' Park isn't one of the game's more attractive venues, especially as it has both the smallest and biggest terraces in the Football League.

The longest away trip by quite some comfortable distance is thankfully not on a Tuesday night this season. It's the only ground we'll travel to which is more than 200 miles away and there's not exactly a brilliant ground awaiting you at the other end.

Lincoln fans will be located in the smallest terrace in the entire Football League. Standing on the top step of the terrace, your head could still be under the height of the crossbar, that's just how small the terrace is. From personal experience, I found it very difficult to see what was happening down the other end of the pitch and this lead to a very negative experience.

Exeter fans were generally quite friendly but didn't seem interested in create an atmosphere. That fact is surprising when you consider they also have the largest terrace in the Football League located at their ground. The Big Bank terrace holds around 35% of the ground's capacity on it's own and rivals the size of the terraces at Halifax.

Leave the M5 at Junction 30. Turn onto the A3015 before turning off onto the B3183. Take the fourth exit a tthe large roundabout, taking you onto Western Way. Take the second exit at the next roundabout. Turn left onto St James Road and the ground is down there.
