It was a mixedSaturday for two ex-Imps as they scored in the FA Cup, but whilst one progresses, the other's goals merely made a score seem ever so slightly more respectable.
Danny Lloyd-McGoldrick (known simply as Danny Lloyd for some reason when at the Imps) left the Imps at the end of the 2011/12 and very few players have split the opinions of fans as much since. Many thought he was an exciting young player, whereas others thought pretty much the opposite, either way he made a large contribution to the end of that season and helped the club survive what would have been a second straight relegation. Today he scored for AFC Fylde of the Evostik Premier and set up another goal for Matt Blinkhorn to see them progress 3-1 past Blyth Spartans.
Meanwhile, several hundred miles down the motorway in Kings Lynn, Rob Duffy scored a mere consolation as he side were smashed 5-1 at home to Cambridge City FC. Duffy joined the club last season but suffered a major injury early on in the season before eventually leaving via mutual termination later on in the season.
