Former Imp Gary Taylor-Fletcher has ended his exile today by signing for LCFC.....but it's not Lincoln, it's Leicester.
Taylor-Fletcher spent two goal filled years at Sincil Bank between 2003 and 2005, averaging a goal every three games and almost single handedly getting the Imps into the Playoffs in 2003/4. He left City and had subsequent spells at Huddersfield and Blackpool, setting numerous footballing records in the process.
Whilst at the Imps, he scored in the first five games of the 2004/5, a post-war record for the Imps. During his time at Huddersfield he scored the 500,000th Football League goal and scored at Chelsea for Huddersfield. At Blackpool he scored in their Playoff Final victory over Cardiff and then scored their first and last goals in their only (to date) season in the Premier League.
Not bad for someone who was once voted as Leyton Orient's worst ever player.
Today he joined Leicester City, a team well in the promotion hunt at the top of the Championship.
