Where are you going? Aldershot
By Nathan Jackson July 2 2008
Lincoln City will pay their first visit for some time to Aldershot's Recreation Ground. It will be a new experience for a lot of Lincoln City fans as City haven't played in Aldershot since the early 1990's. It's just a pity that we'll be visiting this ground on a Tuesday night.

Lincoln City will travel to Aldershot's Recreation Ground on a delightful Tuesday night. It will be the first time that many of the Imps supporters will have been to Aldershot, especially as the Imps haven't played them since the early 1990's.

Most of my opinions in this "where are you going" article will be based on what I have seen on TV. The atmosphere created by Aldershot fans is fairly decent and this could make it a good atmosphere for a Tuesday night game, not something you usually get in League Two. However, most clubs come into League Two having had a good atmosphere in the old division, only to leave it behind when they leave.

City fans will be located in the South Stand seating section. If we take quite a few fans then we will also be given a section of the East Stand terrace. Both have several pillars in the way of the view, but other than that they apparantly offer a decent view of the action.

To get there, leave the M3 at J4. Go onto the A323 and follow it until you see the ground on your right. There is virtually no parking at the ground, meaning your best option is either street parking or one of several park-and-ride schemes around the local area.

Due to this being a Tuesday night game, I have decided not to include train times.
