Last season a group of Brentford fans walked to Hartlepool to raise money; inspired by this, a group of Hartlepool United fans is going to be retracing their steps in April.... Remember last year when a group of Brentford fans walked to the League Game at Victoria Park? Well, it's inspired a group of Hartlepool United fans to make their own long-distance fund-raising effort.

On the 22nd of April following the home game with Notts Forest, 6 Pools fans and a support team will be making the trip to Brentford… on foot. The 285 mile trip has been organised to raise money for HUDSA (Hartlepool United Disabled Supporters Association) with the hope of funding a specially equipped minibus.

The trip is going to be spread out over seven days with the six Brentford fans who did the reverse walk last season joining the Poolies for the final leg in London before the match. While the group are walking down, there are also 17 Poolies travelling down by train in fancy dress trying to raise money for the same cause.

So far fundraising has come in from a number of sources, including Quest Identity who are providing the walking clothes, donations and pledges from various Messageboard Posters, and assorted other methods but the group are still looking for forms of sponsorship, donations or any other assistance you feel you can offer while they are making the trip. If you'd like to sponsor, help, or make suggestions, leave a comment on the Messageboard and it'll be passed on to the walkers.
