Remember over the Summer when it was announced that the Pools Bar was no more? Well, it's back - Dave King has a second chance to create his vision of the ideal pre-match watering hole. What is a surprise is that it's going to be at Victoria Park! Dave's hard work in the original Pools Bar had been recognised by a Fans Guide, and had turned the Jacksons Wharf into arguably THE pre-match watering hole for home and away fans alike. When the makeover meant the memorobilia was taken down prioir to the start of the season there was more than a little sympathy and a lot of disgust on the part of fans everywhere.

While rumours had circulated of a resurrected Pools Bar, what possibly wasn't expected was that the club would actually take it up - but the Victoria Lounge has been transformed into what Dave hopes will become the Fans Pub. The interview on Pools World revealed a tantalising glimpse of his vision; Season Ticket holders will get the chance prior to the game with Doncaster this weekend to see it in all it's glory.

It's great news for Dave personally of course, and a big pat on the back must go to the Commercial Department at Pools for spotting this opportunity. Done right, this could be a real money-spinner for the club - best of luck to all those involved!
