Hartlepool United manager Neale Cooper has added to his squad: the new arrival is Lewis Gobern from Wolves. The right winger joins from Molineux for a month's loan in time to be included in the squad for tomorrow night's LDV tie at Carlisle. Gobern will be 20 in January, and is a right sided midfielder. He has yet to make his debut for Wolves, but has been a regular for their reserves. He's arrived for an initial month's loan, and is in contention for the game tomorrow night at Carlisle.

He's come through the ranks at Wolves, and was awarded a two year contract in March. He comes with some pedigree, having represented England at u19 level last season, and in his regular outings for the reserve side at Wolves seems to be frequently mentioned as creating goals. It seems he's someone more than capable of going past people, with reports describing him as "skillful" and "tricky".

Cooper has moved quickly to bring in Gobern after learning that Mickey Barron will miss out tomorrow night with a sore groin. Barron has of course struggled with his groin for some time, and it may be that although the operations have cured the problem he's still not fully recovered. Given our injury problems it may have been that we've had to bring him back a little quicker than maybe he should have.

There's no indication of whether this will be a move that may develop into something longer term or even permanent; much will probably depend on who the new boss at Molineux is following the departure of Dave Jones.
