A Case For The Defence

The arrival of utility back four player Sean Kavanagh - together with the departure of the gaff prone Toto Nsiala - looks to be a good bit of business by Craig Hignett ..

Kavanagh is on loan  from Fulham for the rest of the season, which will give him the focus he needs. He will almost certainly come into the side at left back for the visit of Grimsby.

The back four never looked comfortable when Toto was there mainly because his mistakes tended to be ones which led to goals.

Good luck to him at Shrewsbury and, hopefully, his departure will mean that Scott Harrison keeps on improving - his confidence will hve been boosted by that belting equaliser at Accrington last week.

Grimsby arrive on the back of a superb win at Carlisle . Should be interesting.
