Nothing to Lose

Donelly

Northern Ireland international Liam Donnelly is Pools big doubt as they head for a Sunday showdown at League One Port Vale ...

Donnelly has a knee injury and has been missed over the last couple of weeks. Meanwhile his defensive mates have been improving but still prone to a lack of concentration.

So at the very least the FA cup game gives them another chance to get thing sorted against decent quality opposition.

An away fixture may wel suit Pools at the moment if they can avoid giving soft goals away.

A decent cup run would put some dosh in the coffers and get some excitement going among the sqaud and the supporters  - otherwise this season looks like fizzling out. Unless, of course, we end up in another relegation dogfight.
