Former Chelsea defender Harry Worley has signed for Pools after missing most of last season at Stevenage with a ligament injury.

The word is the 26 year old is now fully fit - if he his pedigree and 6ft 4in frame should come in very handy.

Worley played the first three games at Stevenage last season before getting injured but returned before the end of the season.

He began his career at Stockport  and then a 150,000 move took him to Chelsea in 2006.

He spent two seasons at Stamford Bridge inclduing loan spells at Doncaster Rovers, Carlisle United and Leicester City.

After joining Leicester on a permanent basis in 2008 he had further loans at Luton Town and Crewe Alexandra, before moves to Oxford United and Newport County.

Let's hope he's ready to settle down then.
