Simon Walton comes straight back into the Pools side to replace Matty Dolan who has been recalled so Boro can see how well he can play in their reserves - wouldn't they get a better idea if they watched him play in a league game for Pools ?

Dolan has done a decent job for Pools, but so has Walton who adds that bit of bite we missed in that very strange game against Bury . We had 20 shots they had 4. They won 3-0.

Cooper and Hignett can be excused for using their contacts to bring in on loan players  to stabilise their Pools side, but in the long term it must be to our benefit to bring on our own like Brad Walker.

There really can't be many Poolies who enjoy picking up the Mail and reading what a good job "Trimdon born" Cooper is doing for Boro's future. Not really interested, thanks.

We still need a new face or two and Cooper says he is making progress althoigh, once again, it looks like they may be loan players.

In the meantime this team surely won't have the bad luck they had last time out when they take on Rochdale : Flinders, Duckworth, Baldwin, Burgess, Austin, Franks, Walton, Walker, Monkhouse, Poole, James.
