Cooper Loses Out

With two minutes of normal time left in this frenetic cup-tie Jack Baldwin equalised for Pools to send one fifth of a meagre crowd wild ... but then came a soft free kick ...

Colin Cooper says his view was that no offence was committed, but the Ref was the man in charge and when the ball came in it wasn't dealt with properly by the Pools defence.

Step up quality goalscorer  Leon Clarke to slot the ball home and cruelly deny us the extra time our play had deserved.

Cooper brought Luke James on for Jack Compton  in the second half, and with Franks on the right,we were much more of an attacking threat.

Baldwin's goal [above] came on 88 minutes when he headed hime from a Dolan corner. It looked set for extra time until that man Clarke accepted his chance gratefully.
