Home Tie Fair Reward

Lady Luck has well and truly returned afte deserting Pools in the opening weeks of the season. Coventry at home is just about the most attractive draw we could have hoped for after overcoming Notts County 3-2 ...

The 3-2 victory was entertaining and both sides had their moments. It even had some farce with County's first goal rocketing in off the back of their centre half after Matty Dolan tried to clear a corner.

Pools had gone ahead with a Jack Baldwin header from Walton's free kick, and then that man Luke Games got two more classic goal poachers efforts.

County kept things tense with a volley five minutes from time, but we held out to get that excellent home draw on the weekend of December 7th and 8th.
