PFA Team of the year

Ritchie Humphreys, Michael Nelson and Andy Monkhouse have all been named in the PFA League 2 team of the year.

 

Hartlepool promotion rivals Walsall had 4 players named in the team of the year including former Pools player Chris Westwood. The biggest suprise for most Pools fans though will be how Dimi Konstantopolous didnt get named as the goalkeeper and how Jermain Easter was named over Ritchie Barker who is joint top scorer in the league

Ritchie Humphreys spent 2 months out on loan at Port Vale earlier in the season and has shown great character and professionalism to come back and do a fantastic job at left back. Andy Monkhouse joined the club on loan in November before signing permanently in January. Monkhouse has only lost one game all season which is an impressive record and Michael Nelson has shown all season what a class act he is all season and certainly has shown why so many championship clubs have shown interest in him
