Pools appeal against red

It was the moment which changed the game on Saturday. Tony Sweeneys redcard was the turning moment and now Pools are appealing against the decision.

It will be the second time this season that we have appealed against a red card. But this time it cost us a game against Chelsea. Sweeney was sent off for deliberate handball but Sweeny and Wilson were both adament that the ball did not strike his arm and that it actually hit Sweeney in the face.

Sweeney will miss tomorows game with Notts County whilst the appeal is considered

On a different not Sweeney is set to make a claim for the goal which put Pools 1-0 up, which originally went down as a Regan own goal.
