After 6 seasons with the club Ritchie Humphreys is about to spend another month of time with Port Vale after Danny Wilson stated that as long as Pools dont pick up any injuries on Friday night he can stay at Port Vale for another month

It is expected that Humphreys loan spell with Port Vale will continue for another month as long as Pools dont pick up any injuries on Friday night.

So far Humphreys has played 6 games for Vale (4 starts and 2 as sub) and is highly rated by Port Vale manager Martin Foyle.

Neither manager have said anything about a permanent transfer but with Humhreys contract out in the summer the Foyle may wait til then to make his move.

Humphreys joined Pools in 2001 and during his time he set the club record for the most consecutive league appearances reaching an unbelievable 203 games playing under 5 managers.

Humphreys is the current player of the year and won the North East League player of the year recently. Humphreys has only made 3 starts and one appearance from the bench. It has been rumoured that there is maybe some history between Humphreys and Wilson as it was Wilson who let Humphreys leave Sheffield Wednesday.

Humphreys stated that when he first left for Port Vale he still wanted to return to Hartlepool and challenge for a first team place. The current Pools left hand side consists of Matty Robson and John Brackstone and they have both played in the last 3 games in which Pools have picked up 9 points and scored 12 goals
