Here is the first of our League 2 previews for this season. Today we focus on Accrington Stanley, Barnet, Boston and Bristol Rovers

Accrington Stanley

The new boys to the league, after 40 years out of the football league they have finally returned after becoming Conference champions last season. Accrington Stanley will be playing their home games at the renamed Fraser Eagle Stadium which holds just over 5 000 fans.

Manager John Coleman will be looking for his players to give him their all after their promotion last season. Accrington's main threat comes through Andrew Mangan and Paul Mullin but without a doubt the player who will spring most fear into players (probably from his own team) is former Pools keeper Andy Dibble. The veteran keeper is having one more blast at goalkeeping stardom and will be pushing to be in Accrington's No.1 this season.

Barnet

After finishing mid table last season Barnet will be looking for improvment this season dispite being very quite in the transfer market.
Barnet play their home games at the Underhill stadium which will be able to hold just over 4000 supporters

Manager Paul Fairclough joined Barnet in 2004 and led them to promotion to the football league. Barnets main threat comes through N Bailey and G Grazioli who both grabbed 7 goals last season.

Pools Online Prediciton: Mid Table

Boston Utd

Boston managed a respectable 11th in the league last season and have not brought anyone in during the transfer period and only Austin McCann has left to join Notts County on a free transfer.

Barnet play their homes games at The York Street Stadium - a fairly small ground holding just under 5 000.

The team is managed by Steve Evans and their main threat is former Aston Villa player Julian Joachim who bagged 14 goals last season.

Bristol Rovers

Bristol Rovers may have felt they underachieved last season after finishing 12th in League 2 and have also had a quite time in the transfer market.

Bristol play at the Memorial Stadium which is a ground they share the Bristol RFC and it holds almost 12 000 fans

Last season Bristol's main threats where Junior Agogo who scored 16 goals and R Walker who netted 20. Manager Paul Trollope will be hoping for a playoff spot this season
