27,000+ turned up for the triumphant return? 20,000 expected/hoped for versus Yeovil, with 11,000 actually turning up? Wow. I wonder how low the attendance would have been had we lost to Gillingham?

A classic case of 'After The Lord Mayor's Show'.
 
I wonder how big the attendance would have been had the NOPM brigade turned up for the Gillingham game? 'Our' 32,000 stadium possibly wouldn't have been big enough. We might need to consider building a new ground if they do....
 
On an un-related note, balaclava sales were up in the Coventry area prior to our return to the Ricoh.
 
If this severe drop is all about the cost of a ticket, can I request the missing 16,000 write to the club and tell them? They can't ignore over 50% of their audience .... again.
 
I would like to have seen Sixfields prices kept for this season (As a sort of apology/truce for our absence), but the club didn't ask for my opinion. Everything possible needs to be done to persuade people to come back and support the club.
 
I do know the numbers versus Yeovil were slightly down due to some people never believing Coventry City would return so quickly, so making other plans for September 13th (Including myself!), so maybe there are a fair few people still to make their own fully-fledged Ricoh return?!
 
The responses from the 'Football Family' for the first game back brought a tear to the eye as they were being read (Mainly on social networking sites), with there seemingly being as much love for Coventry City as I can ever remember. Except, maybe, from Sunderland fans!
 
The atmosphere versus Gillingham was off-the-scale, and would intimidate most sides in League One. 11,000 fans, and a two-thirds empty stadium, not so scary. However many decide to turn up each home game, it's great to be back.
 
To most, Steven Pressley signing up for another four years as Coventry City boss was great news. After what he has been through, trying to keep our sinking ship afloat whatever was thrown at it, he deserves it. I'm fairly stunned he's still here to be offered a new contract!
 
Pressley's tears when interviewed on Football Focus, as they acknowledged our existence on our return, showed how much this all means to him.
 
Sadly, our seven game unbeaten run ended with disappointing defeat against Scunthorpe, and, for a brief moment on Tuesday, we were third in the table. As I often thought about our side returning to Coventry during the 2013/14 season, I'd like to go back there - or higher! - some time soon.
 
We need to bounce back on Saturday, against Rochdale, where our record reads: played four, lost four. They warmed up for our fixture with a 4-0 win over Walsall, and we will more than likely be without Reda Johnson.
 
With three goals and a red card to his name already during his short time at Coventry City, he's proving to bit every bit as entertaining as I expected him to be!
