The two worst sides in the football league - on paper at least - will slug it out at Victoria Park this Saturday. If Accrington Stanley lose at least they can say they were away from home but what excuse can we possibly have if we lose? I shudder to think ...

We have lost the last three home games and Stanley have lost their last three away games. You have to say that this is an odds-on scoreless draw.

But we simply cannot afford to let that happen.This team is far better than that - even if some Pools fans are already saying they won't be going back to the Vic despite that season ticket lying on the sideboard.

Of course they'll be back if we can string a few wins together and that must start this week. Win the game with a daft own goal or whatever. We got our first league goal last week - now we need our first win.
