Falkirk's Falkirk Stadium

Arguably the nicest stadium we visited on the tour was also the only stadium in which we saw a match. Falkirk's stadium is brand new but unusually with most new three sided grounds, it's a side-stand that is missing rather than one behind the goal.

This is not going to be done like a normal review as I've decided it's unfair on a team to have their ground reviewed simply because of a friendly. However, I'm going to talk about the ground itself and the facilities.

Firstly, Falkirk's ground is relatively easy to find due to it's size compared to the other buildings around it. It's right next to a dual carriageway and has a large carpark, so in terms of getting there once in Falkirk, there's no complaints whatsoever. The people around the ground also seemed friendly enough, it's just a pity that there wasn't actually much to do around the ground itself, although to be fair, we didn't fully explore the area as we were in a hurry at the time havng only left Stenhousemuir roughly half an hour before kick off.

The facilities were of a half reasonable size, and they made the most of the space that they have with the ticket office and the club shop in the same room, it got extremely crowded for the game we had gone for (Falkirk vs Leeds). Other than the clubshop, which I imagine you can only comfortably visit during a game against small opposition, there didn't seem to be much for you to do.

Once inside the ground it is a generally good ground with three very smart sides. The two stands behind the goals are relatively the same and the other stand is a large side stand to the right of the away fans. The view from the away stand was excellent and you had an unrestricted view of the pitch, the stadium and the area around the stadium, which is very nice.

If I lived in the area, I would certainly visit Falkirk again.
