Clark Keltie was one Chris Sutton's first permanent signings. Joining in 2009/10, Keltie's City career got off to a very slow start before an excellent run of form towards the end of the season saw him get a run in the first team. He had previously been involved in promotion chasing sides.

Keltie was one of those players that seemed to have been around for years. He had just under 7 years at Darlington before moving onto Rochdale, Chester and Gateshead.

He had chased promotion for three years straight with Darlington, eventually making the Playoffs in 2007/8 when they lost to Rochdale in the semi-finals. Ironically Rochdale became his next side as they snapped him up and despite being a first team regular, he was allowed to leave at the end of the 2008/9 season.

Journeying into the Conference, he represented both Chester and Gateshead before he became an early Chris Sutton signing. Sutton rarely played him though, although he did do extremely well when he got his chance.

His potential to be a good member of the City squad was realised as he helped Davide Somma in the striker's mission to dominate City's scoring charts (not saying much given that he only had to get past five).

Keltie signed a new contract at the end of the 2009/10 season but 2010/11 turned out to be a problematic year for the midfielder. He spent more than half the season injured and was eventually released at the end of the season.
