Defender : Moses Swaibu

Moses Swaibu was a regular in the City defence and initially impressed many since joining from non-League Bromley. He enjoyed a lengthy run in the first team under Chris Sutton, but he spent the latter part of his City career under much scrutiny following poor performances on the pitch and alledged antics off of it.

Debut : Morecambe 1 Lincoln City 1 - 11th February 2009

Last Game : Lincoln City 1 Wycombe Wanderers 2 - 15th January 2011

Signed from : Bromley

Moses Swaibu, Lincoln City

Moses made his debut for the Imps amongst much controversy. He joined on trial from Bromley and was signed up, but Bromley claimed they knew nothing about it and threatened to take City to court. However, Swaibu and Lincoln proved that they had given Bromley sufficient notice to take him on trial and he became an Imp.

His debut came up at Morecambe on a very windy Tuesday night and his first appearance was shockingly bad, looking tremendously out of his depth and it surprised few that he didn't appear again in the first team until an injury to Danny Hone and Frank Sinclair's departure to Wycombe forced Jackson's hand. Swaibu was however far better now and not only played well enough to play for the rest of the season, but also force Hone out at the start of the following season.

Swaibu continued to be a first choice starting defender before Peter Jackson left and it didn't take long until Sutton was appointed and Swaibu was dropped from the squad and rarely got a chance . He did eventually get back in the side though but ended up costing the club a lot of goals.

He again found himself in the first team under Steve Tilson but his alledged antics off the pitch involved stealing chickens and newspapers from Tescos, and his performances on the pitch continued to be poor.

His contract was mututally terminated in January 2011.

" A great future ahead of him"? Dear, oh dear, as Harry Redknapp might say.

In my defence, I did write this nearly a year ago. I am working my way through various sections of the website and updating them, so don't worry, this will be updated soon.

Good Luck, Mr Gorsky
