Reaction to Aaron Brown's 2008/9 Season

Aaron Brown joined the club in the summer after a successful trial period and didn't disappoint. He ended the season as the player with the most assists, as well as missing less than half an hour during the second half of the season. PLAYER - A Brown

If I was told this season that there was only one player who I could praise, it would be Aaron Brown. Aaron first came into my knowledge a few years back due to a Swindon fan I have been with describing him as the worst player he'd ever seen. As soon as we appointed Iffy as assistant manager, my friend text me saying "I bet you any money Aaron Brown will turn up soon," and sure enough, he did.

His first few appearances for the club weren't that great, but his impact when he eventually became a first team regular was immense. He accrued a total of 3,219 minutes in an Imps shirt, missing just twenty-five minutes worth of first team action in the second half of the season, ironically the most useful player being replaced by the least useful, Sam Mullarkey. He also ended the season as the leading goal assister.

I was personally quite surprised that Aaron wasn't even in the club's official top three "Player of the Season" candidates. I'd even go as far as saying he's the best signing that Jackson has made.....but then again, he hasn't got a lot of competition.

Good player definetly. Better as a left mid than left back though

Is this the same player everyone blamed for our bad results early season, how short memories we have.

To be fair he was played at left back for the start of the season, and was average at best there. He's been a revelation in midfield though and if he'd played there all season then he would definately have been player of the season.

I said right at the start that he should not be at left back but playing further forward.

I reckon he will prove a revelation this coming season.
