Gary King was one of the numerous youngsters who broke through into the first team during the 2007/8 season and he was the cause of one of the funniest moments of the season. That came in the game against Brentford when he claimed a goal following a Simon Brown mistakes.

Firstly, I am being generous by crediting King with the goal against Brentford. Don't get me wrong, nothing wrong with the strike really but it quite clearly wasn't going in until Simon Brown flapped it into his own net.

A few years ago and I saw King played for the reserves and he looked very impressive and I thought it wouldn't be long before he was in the first team. I am still under that impression and I have no doubts about his future potential within this team.

I don't think he'll be a regular during the next season but I can certainly picture him getting in a fair few appearances from the bench and continuing to impress.
