City certainly won't be disappointed to see the back of MK Dons after this season as the Imps have never beaten the Dons, albeit in only 4 attempts. City have lost 4-0 to each of the current Top 3 and that's a stat that makes it even less surprising that the Imps can no longer mathematically make the playoffs, Dear god, I can't wait for Sunday May 4th.

With Rochdale winning on Tuesday night it is now impossible for City to make the Playoffs. Granted it was unlikely we would make them anyway after our form has drastically nose dived since Jackson went for treatment. City have picked up just 6 points in the 6 games since Onuora took charge and we've conceded a staggering 15 goals. It's the sort of run which says it all about our season.

Last week's defeat at Peterborough came just seven days after a mauling at Barnet. In two of the very worst performances of the season the players seemed to show no urgency, little or no desire and generally showed that at least 5 or 6 of the so called "first team" don't deserve to be here next season.

With all due respect to the other 4 teams we'll play after MK Dons, but MK are the last truly hard test we'll have this season. They are currently second and City have a horrible record against the Top 3 this season. In our 5 games against the current top 3 we have picked up just a single point, lost 4 times and three of those were 4-0 thrashings.

If City are going to challenge for promotion next season then the MK Dons game will be a good test of what we do to do next season. The Dons are still favourites for the title due to their 2 games in hand over Peterborough United. It's a race that promises to go down to the wire though and it'll be one of the few times Peterborough fans will be hoping Lincoln win.

The Imps go into the game with Paul Green only having a 50/50 chance of playing. The defender was injured just after half time at Peterborough last Saturday and it'll likely he will miss out. If he does then his place will more than likely be taken up by either Adie Moses or Lee Ridley. Lenell John-Lewis will also miss out through a stomach injury.  Freck could start his first game since February 12^th after returning from injury last week Scott Kerr is also suspended for the clash.

Alan Marriott is set to continue in goal as he aims to earn a new contract that would see him enter his testimonial year. Lee Beevers, Danny Hone are likely to start with Nat Brown accompanying them. The final defender will probably either be Lee Ridley or Moses, the betting would be on Ridley but we'll have to wait to see if he picks up yet another injury first.

In theory the midfield should be a straight swap. Freck should realistically be looking at coming in for the suspended Kerr. His return will more than likely see Pembleton fall out of the first XI as N'Guessan, Clarke and Dodds are likely to be other 3 in the middle of the Park.

Forrester and Wright would be odds on to start up front together. At the time of the game at stadium:MK it looked like neither had a future at the club. Wright had just a single cameo appearance to his name at that point and Forrester was rumoured to be getting sacked from the club following him setting up his football school for youngsters.

City could virtually guarantee safety with a win. If the Imps win and both Mansfield and Wrexham lose, it would leave us 15 clear of Mansfield (with them having 5 to play) and 19 clear of Wrexham and them only have 18 to play for. A defeat could have us with a nervy last few games as we could be only 9 points above the drop zone if Mansfield win.

What are your opinions on the MK Dons match. Are you confident of a City win or will the Imps be lucky to come out of it with a point?

I would go with the latter, MK are a good side and watched them against Chesterfield and can score from anywhere really. Lewington has got a decent left foot and can smack em'.
