Lincoln City put in yet another poor performance as Stockport County time-wasted themselves into a victory. Poole scored midway through the second half and City didn't get many chances to respond as their players faked injury whenever we got near their goal. It virtually rules out any unrealistic chances City had of making the Playoffs.

The first chance took 5 minutes to come along as Dickinson sent the ball straight at Marriott. Not long afterwards was the first part of Stockport wasting time. Dickinson went down on the ground and was recieving treatment for several minutes. He limped off of the pitch and then within 2 seconds was running as fast as he could get.

Dickinson then proceded to elbow Hone and yet the decision went the striker's way. A busy opening period for the former Woodley Sports sstar then see him force Marriott to come out to half his progress on goal.

City actually went into Stockport's half and a N'Guessan ball was headed wide by Mark Stallard. N'Guessan forced a corner, but to no-one's surprise it was wasted. Dodds shot wide before Dickinson went down yet again.

As City broke on goal, Anthony Pilkington suddenly lay on the ground following he losing out to Shane Clarke in running for the ball. Pilkington acted like his leg had been cut off and wasted 2 or 3 more minutes. N'Guessan and Clarke both wasted chances for the Imps.

Neither side managed a decent chance before the half time whistle came and the sides went in level.

Hone shot wide for the first chance of the second half before Dodds shot wide. Blizzard was booked for a foul on Kerr before Poole replaced Pilkington for the visitors. James Smith was the next player to act like he'd been shot for Stockport. After several minutes the player continued and only a brilliant Beevers interception denied Dickinson a free run on goal.

Forrester and Dodds both wasted chances for the Imps before Proudlock came on for Dicker. Forrester's bicycle kick went wide for the Imps just minutes before Stockport took the lead. A defensive mix-up saw David Poole shoot past Marriott to give Stockport a chance with their first real effort on target during the match.

N'Guessan's selfishness then saw him shoot wide following good work from Stallard before Gary King replaced Dodds. Forrester's shot was claimed by Ruddy before the ineffective Stallard was replaced by the often ineffective Ben Wright. Horwood's shot was palmed wide for the visitors before Kerr was booked for a challenge on Poole. Williams joined the group known as the "Stockport Time Wasters."

The last decent chance of the game saw Forrester's shot taking a minor deflection off of a defender's boot, it was heading in before Ruddy just got a hand to the ball and stopped it from going in.

Neither side created anymore chances and the Imps were defeated.
