Lincoln City will aim for a fourth victory in a row when they travel to Accrington Stanley on Tuesday evening, aiming to maintain an unbeaten league record against Stanley since they came up. City have won 2 of the three meetings so far since Accrington returned to the League and really should have won the other. The Imps can overtake their hosts in the League with a victory.

City have suddenly turned into one of the form teams in the division. Even teams challenging for promotion don't have the current run of form that City are currently on. 5 victories in 7 has suddenly seen City shoot up the table and a win on Tuesday night will see the Imps move up at least one place, with 16th place also in their sights.

City's three games against Stanley have seen City well in control each of them. A 3-1 win at Sincil Bank back in September 2006 could have easily seen City reach 6 or 7 in one of the more dominant performances City put in that season. A few months later and Beevers gave the Imps the lead from a corner before Todd equalised against the run of play. Kerr's lob early in the second half was equalised by Mullin's poaching ability.

This season's game was one of the few times this season when Dany N'Guessan actually appeared to give a damn. The Frenchman put in easily his best performance in a City shirt when his opener was followed by a Dodds close range thunderbolt to give City a well earned 2-0 win. That would be City's last win for 1 day short of 3 months.

City welcome back Paul Green from suspension and he will more than likely fit straight into the right back position that Nat Brown failed to fill adequately on Saturday. Lee Beevers and the ever-improving Danny Hone in the centre of defence and Lee Ridley completing the back line in front of Alan Marriott.

Freck, Kerr, Dodds and Forrester will probably be in the midfield before Wright and Stallard are placed up front.

Saturday's win over Chester was Accrington's first win a calender year that recently saw them thrashed 8-2 at Peterborough. Amazing Accrington have a worse home record than City, picking up a lowly 13 points at the Fraser Eagle Stadium, averaging less than a point a game having lost 9 of their 14 games so far. Only Macclesfield, Dagenham and Bury have won fewer home games

For a side that are so poor at home, only Rochdale outside of the top 7 have won more away games. 7 wins on the road is the reason why Accrington have a relatively high place in the table.
