Lincoln continued their trend of losing every single game in which they go behind as City lost 3-1 to Rotherham, making it 15 times (out of 15) that we've lost after the opposition took the lead. Derek Holmes became the latest striker to score a hat-trick at Sincil Bank as he exploited some poor City defending and vitally regave Rotherham the lead just after City took the lead.

The game started at an unbelieveably fast pace and the Imps went close within a minute as Dodds fired over from a John-Lewis ball. Dodds again missed unbelieveably when he volleyed wide at the back post. Hudson then hit the post for Rotherham before Ben Wright went and did the exact same thing down the other of the pitch. Forrester then had a chance cleared off the line as the two teams enjoyed an event filled opening 8 minutes.

Forrester dragged another chance before a hoof upfield saw Ryan Taylor run through one on one with Marriott. The ball got past Marriott but Nat Brown cleared it off the line and then John-Lewis hit the ball wide and then Rotherham took the lead against the general run of play of the match. O'Grady breezed past Brown and past the ball across the box and Derek Holmes had an open goal to tap into.

This was bad news for the Imps as it was the 15th time this season that City have gone behind in the League......losing each of the previous 14. Pablo Mills was booked for dissent before Rotherham cleared their lines following a scramble. Lee Ridley then almost scored a freak of an own goal when he tried to lob Marriott, the ball landing on top of the net.

A fine tackle from Green denied Hudson a run on goal. Neither side created any decent chances before half time. As usual it had been a case of the Imps being the better side but being made to pay for the wasted chances as the opposition scored against the run of play.

Clarke replaced the injured Frecklington at half time and he sent a cross in early, but it was easily saved by Warrington. The second half was considerably slower than the first half but 10 minutes in Graham Cloughanheaded pat Warrington and left Forrester with an open goal to become the first player in quite some time to score goals in consecutive games for the Imps.

With 2 minutes and with City fans taunting their Rotherham counterparts, the Millers equalised. Mills swung in the ball and Derek Holmes produced a good run and headed past Marriott to give Rotherham their second goal against the run of play. Forrester sent a chance wide from the edge of the box before Ross replaced Taylor for Rotherham.

O-Grady's effort was tipped over by Marriott before Smith replaced Forrester for City. However, within a few minutes it was 3-1 as Holmes scored a carbon-copy of the first goal to become yet another striker that has claimed a hat-trick at Sincil Bank.

Dodds came on for Ryan before Ridley smashed a free kick over for the Imps. The last incident of the game came when Shane Clarke was sent off for a tough challenge on Mark Hudson.

City remain 21st but are now just 3 points above the drop zone.
