Skiverton Calls for Killer Instinct


'we are hard to beat'

Yeovil Town manager Terry Skiverton has hailed Oli Johnson's opportunist strike against Tranmere, but has called for his side to avoid being dragged back into the relegation battle.

The Glovers beat Tranmere Rovers on Saturday afternoon thanks to a wonderful 30 yard goal from Oli Johnson in a game otherwise lacking quality, and Skiverton speaking to BBC Radio Somerset has called for his side to take advantage of moments like that:

"It took an opportunist strike to win the game for us and the points are more than welcome. We are fighting for our lives, and a win was so important. Hopefully we can now climb the league and get to a position of safety. We have too often pressed the self-destruct button. Every time we look as if we are getting away from the bottom, we do something silly. We are a team that is hard to beat, but we need that killer instinct, and we are working on it. It was a spirited performance."
