Terry Skiverton has vented his frustration at having a game postponed for the second weekend running, with Saturday's fixture with Peterborough United falling victim to the snow.

Last weekend saw the Glovers make the long trip to Hartlepool only to come back to Somerset without kicking a ball due to a frozen pitch at Victoria Park, although it did ensure that Yeovil were in the FA Cup third round draw.

With the Green and Whites currently lying in 23rd position Skiverton wants to escape the bottom four as soon as possible, and admits the recent cancellations are frustrating:

"That end (by the covered home terrace) doesn't really get any sunlight and the pitch is frozen underneath, which is terrible for us because of the situation that we're in. We want to play games, and with the game against Peterborough and Gary (Johnson) coming back there (were) loads of under-currents of a great story happening at the weekend. We're desperate to play football. For us, if it goes another week, all you're doing is your fitness work and your training which we have programmed in already, as we knew this was going to come in. So we've got alternative venues and we're working on that, but as professionals you want to be playing every week." 

Not only does the weather halt weekend league games, it has also disrupted Yeovil's training regime, having to use indoor facilities and concentrate on gym work:

"We were up on the top pitch this morning which was all fitness work, all with straight lines and no turning, because you're just about able to run up there. We then went down and had a second session at an indoor 3G pitch that's in the middle of Yeovil. So we got a bit of football work in there. So we've been doing fitness work in the mornings and we've been training every afternoon to make sure that the players are topped up and they're ready for when this break does come to an end. Last year we had a little spell like that (after Christmas and through to mid-January) and then we went to Leyton Orient and we got beaten and we didn't play well. So we're just changing a few things there to make sure it doesn't happen this time." 

Yeovil are due to face Hartlepool on Tuesday 7th December for their re-arranged FA Cup match, but the game has been called into doubt due to the persistent wintry conditions.
