After shouting expletives at the travelling Yeovil fans on Tuesday night Sam Williams has apologised.

The frontman was substituted in the second half, a decision which was met by jeers towards Williams who reacted with a verbal exchange directed at some of the chanting fans.

Speaking after the game to the official website Williams reflected on his actions:

"I was frustrated with the way the match was going for both the team and myself but I shouldn't have let my frustrations rise to the surface like that. I would like to sincerely apologise to the supporters and thank them for their continued loyal support."

Hopefully a line can be drawn under the situation and the crowd will get behind Sam and the rest of the team for the forthcoming FA Cup trip at Hartlepool on Saturday.
