Despite taking a two goal lead, the Glovers collapsed and slumped to a 4-2 defeat, conceding four goals in a dismal second half.
Before the game Yeovil were forced into two changes, with 'keeper John Sullivan and JP Kalala both missing out through injury, with Stephen Henderson and Owain Tudur-Jones coming into the side.
Things began brightly for the Glovers, when Dean Bowditch could have slotted home after four minutes, when he charged through on goal only to be denied by a great challenge from Peter Clarke.
But Bowditch didn't have to wait long, when just before the ten minute mark, he snatched the lead for Yeovil.
Craig Alcock swung in a cross towards Bowditch, who excellently swivelled and shot, lashing past Alex Smithies. 0-1.
Despite their impressive start to the season, the Terriers were struggling, whilst Yeovil revelled, playing some excellent flowing football.
The lead was soon doubled, when Andy Welsh, who was a constant thorn in Huddersfield's side, won a free-kick.
Gavin Williams swung the ball in and the tall Owain Tudur-Jones was there at the back post to nod in, doubling the Glovers lead. 0-2.
Alan Lee went closest for Huddersfield, but Yeovil were still dominant, and could have had more goals, with Alex Smithies denying Gavin Williams a goal from a curing free-kick.
Understandably, the Terriers home support were disgusted with their teams current performance, and their public discontent seemed to bolster their side, who began to surface in the later parts of the first half.
On-loan 'keeper Stephen Henderson tipped over the bar well, and Lee Novak shot wide, firing a warning to Yeovil Town.
Half Time: Huddersfield Town 0-2 Yeovil Town
The cliche of a game of two halves couldn't be applied to a more appropriate game, with Huddersfield immediately starting on the front foot.
Skiverton would surely have asked his team to not concede straight away, but that's what happened, when on the 49th minute Scott Arfield scored a brilliant 20 yard strike, arrowing into the top of the net. 1-2.
This seemed a turning point, as Yeovil visibly crumbled, and could have thrown away their lead soon after, when Alan Lee was denied by a brilliant save, with Henderson picking himself up to deny Lee Peltier on the rebound.
Skiverton opted to go defensive, and replaced Andy Welsh with Luke Ayling.
It became an utter dominance by Huddersfield, as Alan Lee hit the bar and Joey Gudjonsson smashing just over the bar.
But it wasn't too much longer and they were level, when Carey's free kick found Jamie McCombe, who headed in past Henderson. 2-2.
Just two minutes later and they took the lead, when the same man again McCombe, who turned Huntington and side footed home. Not bad for a central defender. 3-2.
It was soon 4-2 making it three goals in eight minutes, when Luke Ayling was penalised for hand ball.
Gary Roberts stepped up and smashed in the Terriers fourth, completing the come back and condemning Yeovil to yet another away defeat.
The Glovers have a tough month, facing Exeter, Southampton, Walsall and Rochdale, yet a vital month with the Yeovil languishing near the bottom of the table.
Yeovil have now conceded 8 goals in two away games, something which has too change, with Yeovil's home form not exactly glittering either.
