Yeovil Town take on Tranmere Rovers on Saturday hoping to turn around a concerning run of recent form.

One major boost for the Glovers will be Gavin Williams, who has returned to Huish Park on a three month loan deal, hopefully bringing some creativity to the side.

Another welcomed addition will be Shaun MacDonald, who despite signing on loan almost two weeks ago, will be making his first appearance after being away on international duty.

However, Yeovil now have seven loan players, and Football League regulations mean only five can make the match day squad, with Rob Kiernan and Luke Freeman seemingly most likely to miss out.

On the injury front, Andy Williams remains the only doubt, with his fitness being called into question after an ankle injury. One definite absentee will be Sam Williams who serves the second of his three game suspension.

Dean Bowditch should have recovered from a throat infection, meaning Adam Virgo can return to centre half, instead of upfront.

Visitors Tranmere have a major selection problem, with only twelve players being fit to train throughout the week. Defender Ian Goodison is likely to be forced to play, despite suffering from a back injury. 'Keeper Gunnar Nielsen will also be missing after picking up an injury whilst playing for the Faroe Islands.

Other absentees are Josh Labadie and Adam McGurk.

The number of injuries mean that Tranmere have been relying on youth alot this season, with 18 year old Joe Collister being just one, as he starts in goal.

Last season saw the Glovers win this fixture 2-0, with goals from Dean Bowditch and Gavin Tomlin. A repeated scoreline would be welcomed gratefully by fans and coaches alike.
