Yeovil crashed out 4-0 losers to a physical but well drilled Notts County at Meadow Park, making it five losses in 6 games.

Terry Skiverton made several necessary changes to the side with Sam Williams beginning his 3 match suspension and Andy Williams and Dean Bowditch missed out through injury and illness respectively. 

The Glovers began well making some good territory and earning six corners, unfortunately notching up zero chances.

Yeovil were warned when Lee Hughes hit the post from an offside position, shortly followed by the striker being booked for completely removing Stefan Stam's shirt.

It wasn't until the 24th minute that the deadlock was broken when defensive frailties appeared when a long ball over the top was met by a hesitant Yeovil defence who allowed Craig Westcarr to steal in and grab the lead. 1-0.

Any game plan the Glovers had seemed to have been destroyed, with Yeovil looking seemingly indecisive as to whether hold or push on.

The lead was soon doubled when the instrumental Ben Davies found space to get a shot in on goal. 'Keeper John Sullivan should have saved easily but he let it squirm through his legs and into the net. A moment to forget for the on-loan goalkeeper. 2-0.

Yeovil's lack of creativity was highlighted by the lack of shots on target, with deflected shots from Luke Freeman, Luke Ayling and Owain Tudur-Jones becoming the peak of Yeovil's attacking play.

In first half stoppage time the game was killed off by the impressive Davies, when he was again allowed far too much time and space which he obliged to, sliding the ball into the corner. 3-0.

If the travelling 316 away fans expected a reaction in the second half, they were to be sorely disappointed, with Notts County continuing their domination.

Lee Hughes and Westcarr again registered shots on goal, as Yeovil continued to huff and puff there way into nothingness.

Luke Freeman had one moment of inspiration showing desire and determination to get a shot off, only to be denied by Stuart Nelson in goal.

As the game ticked into the final ten minutes another nail was added to the coffin, as Lee Hughes met a Ben Davies through ball to prod past Sullivan, completing the rout. 4-0.

The only slight plus for Terry Skiverton would have been the cameo performance from Craig Calver, making his first start in the Football League, showing good willingness and determination upfront.

The final whistle blew ending Yeovil's misery and condemning them to their 5th loss in 6 games, a worrying stat for Skiverton, who has stated he expects two new arrivals at Huish Park before next Saturday's visit to Huish Park of Tranmere Rovers.
