Yeovil Town conceded their second last minute goal in a week, to lose out 2-1 to local rivals Bristol Rovers.

The Glovers were forced into making a change, with striker Dean Bowditch missing out through an unspecified injury, being replaced by Cameron Stewart, allowing Luke Freeman to move upfront. 

Despite losing 6-1 in mid-week to League Two Oxford United, the Gas began the better of the two sides, forcing John Sullivan into early saves, and gaining a number of corners.

Yeovil were anything but stand-offish, sliding into challenges forcibly, earning several yellow cards.

The Green and Whites grew into the game, with ex-Pirate Andy Williams going close with a shot, which Luke Freeman nearly reached on the rebound.

Yeovil created arguably the best flowing move of the game, when Luke Freeman excellently released Nathan Jones down the left flank, whose pull-back found Sam Williams whose exquisite turn was let down by a weak shot, allowing Danny Coles to clear off the line.

That proved to be Yeovil's best chance in the first half, with yet more alterations happening when Luke Freeman was replaced by Nathan Smith due to injury. Andy Williams moved upfront whilst Cameron Stewart moved over to the right wing accommodating Nathan Smith on the left.

This ruined the Glovers tempo, and they found them selves a goal down just before half time when Jo Kuffour headed in a Gary Sawyer cross. 1-0.

As the heavens opened in the second half, several more players entered into the referees note book, most notably combative midfielder JP Kalala.

Yeovil had the lion share of possession, but, as in previous seasons, failed to create any meaningful chances.

The Glovers luck seemed to be out, when JP Kalala then received his marching orders for a second yellow card.

But they refused to be beaten, and after rallying in the final ten minutes, they seemed to have snatched a point, when Adam Virgo (playing as a striker), headed in a 89th minute corner. 1-1.

With three minutes of added time, Yeovil seemed to be safe, but with virtually the last kick of the game, Byron Anthony lashed in after a scramble in the box from a corner, stealing all three points. 2-1. 

Terry Skiverton will have been disappointed with the Glovers inability to see out a draw, but would have been encouraged by his sides rallying performance, especially with ten men, However, away from home, they lack the creativity to create meaningful chances.
