The on-loan Everton defender has won TSFC Young Player of the season award for 2004-2005. The scouse youngster has made a favorable impression during his short stay.

Matty Fryatt finished in 3rd place with 16%. Julian Bennett came in 2nd with 18%, while Gerrard topped the poll with 23%. 

Gerrard has proved to be a class act by picking up two man of the match awards during his 8 game stint. 

What does the future hold for Gerrard and Walsall? Well, we've offered him a contract and it's still on the table. He doesn't know what Everton have in store him, the Saddlers must be pretty confident that they'll be letting him go.

All we have to do is hope that his time as Bescot has gone unnoticed by any would be suitors.
