Given Jeff Bonser's programme notes and an article in last nights pink, is an away fan ban a realistic option at the Bescot?
The cost of policing some home games is not being covered by the gate receipts traveling supporters. While there is no complaining about the need to police games, anything that could reduce the costs incurred must be considered.
We occasionally use the William Sharp Stand for of promotional initiatives. The Club have really gone to town the with the mini-reds scheme, and link up with Banks's and the E&S on a regular basis. The banning of away fans could allow more of these to take place.
It's highly unlikely that this would ever take place, but if it limits financial loses then it must be taken seriously.
