FUEL ON THE FIRE
THE COLIN LEE RUMOURS CONTINUE TO
CIRCULATE. THE SUN REPORTS THAT PLYMOUTH ARE READY TO MAKE A MOVE.
According to the Sun Lee has told friends he has taken the club as far as he
can. The Walsall boss will look to leave as soon as safety is assured
The story also quotes Lee as saying..
"
I've an understanding with the owner Jeff Bonser if any club comes in for me
Walsall have to tell me, and likewise if anyone phoned me I'd tell the owner -
but I've heard nothing yet"
Just how much you believe this
report is up to you, but take a look at what Colin has been saying this
week...
Saturday 3rd April
While talking about contracts for next season Lee said..."it's
difficult when your finances are restricted." Colin is clearly
frustrated with the budget.
Monday 5th April Colin also spoke to the BBC about his own future
next season...."What happens next year who knows, but this year's vitally important for this
football club - I'm going to see that job through to the best of my
ability."
Wednesday 7th April
Two days later and he added "It's been a nightmare trying to run the club without any
distraction."
Friday 9th April Then on Friday he spoke about the task ahead..."I've always said that keeping a team like Walsall in the First Division
is a bigger job than getting promotion from the Second Division, This season has been very difficult and very tiring, but if we can come
out of that with First Division safety it would probably be the biggest
achievement of my career as a manager."
Are these the words of a man
who looks like he will be here next season? Is this adding two and two
together to make 5?
Either way, 83% of fans who
took part in a recent TSFC poll want Colin Lee to remain as manager.
