Our link up with Danish outfit Herfølge is officially over.

We have been speculating that deal was about to be ended, and we have now received official confirmation.

Roy Whalley told the Sports Argus...

"The link between will the two clubs will not now proceed. In truth it didn't really have time to get off the ground and now it wont because it was  really all derived from the friendship between Clive Stapleton and Jeff Bonser"

As we reported, the wishes of the Herfølge Board to hold Board meetings in Danish, and have a Danish influence on the club led to Stapleton's exit.

Stapleton now looks set to become involved with Herfølge's biggest rivals - Koege. Will we be seeking a link up with his new club? The club did seem keen to get a foot hold in the Scandinavian transfer market.
