Danny Hay Leaves

The club have announced that Danny Hay will be returning to New Zealand for what is described as "personal reasons" following this weekend's game. The big centre back, signed from Leeds, has struggled to make a big impact with the Saddlers, not looking the same player he was prior to the series of injuries he had at the Yorkshire club.
He has been a reliable figure for the Saddlers, however, and will be missed. I am sure all fans will wish him the best, whatever his current problems are.
The satement on the official site does say that there was no option but to let him return home, so it does look as if there is not any more than meets the eye in this case.
