How old are they - They were founded in 1921, relatively average age for a Danish club.

Where is Herfoelge - It is a small village 43KM from Copenhagen. Population of about 5000.

Who is in charge? - Former Albion director Clive Stapleton and manager Johnny Peterson

Who are there rivals - Koege Boldklub is a much smaller club but has a bigger community backing it. (They are currently in the 1st division)

The Stadium - The Stadium is only small and is fairly old. It is typical of many Superligean Stadiums being small. 8400 Capacity.

Bit of History - The club were amateur for along while until Gudmund Joergenson invested a lot of money and turned them in to a professional business. The club was soon having breakfast with the big boys, a great achievement for a small village. So, the club were one of the first professional teams in Denmark when the change happened in 1978.

Recent History - 99/00 saw John Jensen (Ex Arsenal) in charge and Herfoelge and he won the Danish title only to lose his best players the season after and get relegated. They battled with arch rivals Koege for promotion the season after but lost out. However, they are now back and hoping to steady there position in Superligaen.

Who is Clive Stapleton - He is popular amongst the fans in Denmark having injected around 9Million Danish Kroner in to the club in 01/02. He changed the way the club was run by bringing in a director of football. Stapleton is an ex director at Albion and offered Albion the link up before he got in touch with the Saddlers.

Any Albion Links in Herfoelge? - Yes, Matthew Turner, Josh Gowling and Marc Briggs are all former Albion players plying their trade with Herfoelge.

Who are the star men for Herfoelge - Star strikers Anders Jochumsen and Chris Hermansen can be found at the top of the Danish goal scoring charts at the moment. Defender Jacob Bresemann is also a firm favorite. The Paul Merson over here is Alan Nielson (Ex Spurs) who is also the assistant manager having returned to his homeland.

How are they financially - WE have had some tough times, but we are now well run and stable.

How's it going this season - We currently sit 9th attracting gates of between 1200-2000. There is room for improvement both on and off the field, but they are doing well for there first season back.

The future - Talk has been of a merger between Herfoelge and Koege over the last couple of years. But, this has never materialised, mainly because of Koege's financial state, which isn't to healthy. There is also a worry about the underdog being swallowed up by the team in a better position.

Tell us about your Team -Because of the many new signings we are prepared and capable of playing well even though we have had some serious injuries (some weeks ago we had 12 playes injuried at the same time. Allan Nielsen is of course one of the key players. Unfortunately an injury has kept him of the pitch for some time now. We have a player, Morten Avnskjold, who plays the same position as Nielsen and this guy is woth noticing. He just get's better and better over time! Jakob Bresemann, is a good defender at the age of 27 and he is one of the reasons why we have played well in many of the latest matches. The three English men are also very talented and especially Matthew Turner who plays the right wing will be indispensable when he adapts to the level in the best division. He was one of the main factors for us promoting this summer I guess.
