Hawley out on loan (again)

 

Somewhat surprisingly local youngster Karl Hawley has again been loaned out to gain further experience, despite being on top form since returning from his 5 month loan spell in Scotland.

Hawley made a big impression North of border weighing in with some important goals for the championship chasing side, and has now been signed by Hereford United until the end of the season.

After a lengthily campaign the Nationwide Conference and its clubs, were this season given the second promotion spot they have longed for. With clubs like Wycombe,  Kidderminster and Rushden & Diamonds proving that they can hold their own in the Football League the conference clubs have finally received the recognition they felt they deserved. For the first time this season they will be holding a play off competition with the winner gaining football league status. The final itself is to be held at Stoke City's Brittania Stadium with the traditional play off rules of two leg's home and away in the Semi finals applying.  

The Bulls have been in and around the Play Off zone all season, and still have a very good chance of making them as they are still only 10 points of 2nd place and 4 of 5th, with 15 points still to play for.

Lee is a big admirer of Hawley, hence the youngster being awarded a new contract last season, with Lee predicting that the player could play an important role for the Saddlers in future.

Unfortunately for Hawley, their is no role for him to play this season and he will just have to do what he did at Raith - Score Goals - and what he has done for the Reserves since coming back - Score Goals -.

He is very similar to Jorge Leitao in style, being Stocky, Powerful, a hard worker and having that desire to get in to the penalty box and find the back of the net.

We shall follow Hawley's progress at Hereford with interest, and report back on how his performances are received in the Marches.
