The record gate for a league game at Bescot is 9,517, but the Saddlers are hoping to break the overall record of 10,628 which was set for a "B" international back in 1991. The chance comes on December 26th, when the Blades visit The Bescot Stadium. The Saddlers are aiming to break the Attendance record at the Bescot over the festive period

...... The Club have the record attendance marker in their sights now that the Purple Stand is full operational. 

The current record was set for an England B' game back in 1991 when England  took on Switzerland. 10,628 crammed in to the Bescot that night to see a 1-1 draw.  The away end at Bescot was soon seated and the capacity plummeted to between 9,400, and 9600, where it stayed until the year 2002. The top 10 attendance for Walsall games at Bescot have been.....

The club have reduced ticket prices for the boxing day clash with the Blades.

  • Lower Purple Tickets are £8 adults, £5 kids/ OAPS
  • Upper Purple £12 Adults, £8 Kids/OAPS (£12 Family Ticket).
  • The Bankss' £12 Adults, £8 OAP's, £5 Kids, or £12 Family Tickets.

Boxing Day crowds are traditionally high, so we will have to wait and see if floating fans take advantage of these deals, but lets hope one of the two attendance records is broken over Christmas.
