After saying there was no money available, even for loans, Colin Lee sprang a surprise with the signing of Pollet. But are there more moves on the way? Colin Lee has sprung a suprise with the signing of Ludo Pollet for an initial seven week period, presumably financed by the departure of Matt Gadsby. However, the rumours are that he hasn't finished yet.
TheSaddlersFC team have heard that there is a possibility of two more loan departures next week, with another coming in. Certainly, Lee has alreay said that he had one loan signing set up with Middlesborough last week, but that failed as the player concerned was "too close to the first team". I suspect that this means it was a left back, as Boro' are short in that department, folowing Quedrue's two sendings off in successive games.
While the identity of the player coming in is something of a mystery, the departures might be easier to guess.
Tony Barras has already seen Lee about his lack of first team action, and Pollet's arrival will push him further back in the pecking order. I expect to see him go on loan for a month.
We also reported a week or two ago that a fringe player had asked for a loan move. Again putting two and two together, the form of Leitao, Junior and Zdrillic makes us suspect that Birch is that man.
Putting my neck out, TheSaddlersFC predictions are:-

Barras and Birch out on loan next week and the arrival of a left back.

On the other hand, we might be completely wrong, as Lee seems to have the ability to surprise everyone!
