TheSaddlersFC is ran by a large team of Walsall fans who ensure that the website is updated daily. Unlike other unofficial fan-sites the the people behind TheSaddlersFC receive no financial rewards for their efforts and do it for there love the Saddlers. 

The team varies in age, something that brings an extra flavour to the stories and features on the site. Having fans from different generations means  we have a blend of attitudes and styles when it comes to footballing issues.

When Dave Hawkes handed the site over to 4two in the Summer of 2002 it had an empty forum, no features and attracted around 30 hits a day. 4two moved quickly to recruit Neil Ravenscroft and Alan Stokes who were well known posters on other unofficial forums. Between them they began building a site which would rank alongside SaddlersNet and UpTheSaddlers, the two largest fansites online. 

All the essentials for a Fan Site were soon put in place. A ground guide, player profiles, league tables, fixtures. New features such as quizzes, man of the match polls,  Legends Squad and rumour mill were established. We began daily updates of the new stand development. We were the only unofficial site bringing pictures from the new stand every couple of days, and even managed to gain exclusive photo's from inside. This put the site on the map and visitors flocked to see how things were going.

As soon as the season started we provided previews, reports and comment on all the matches and had regular news updates daily. We soon got a reputation for our rumours and the fact that we were being updated more than once a day.

OneNil came on board mid way through the 02/03 season as TheSaddlersFC wished to up its number of updates per-day. We even began supplying news to other unofficial sites such as the Super Saddlers, Walsall Portal and UpTheSaddlers.  As the features and updates came thick and fast, the Singingshiver and Rushall Saddler were recruited in time for summer revamp. 

As the transfer rumours circulated the site began to break records during the summer months. On certain days (Merson days) we were attracting as many as 3000 visitors, that's 100 times more than we were when we took over. The site was now one of the best known unofficial sites online, had an established message board community and a team of 6 writers raring to go for the new season.
