Fans favourite Fitzroy Simpson has secured his move to Saudi. Simpson came back to Bescot when Colin Lee called for players without a club to come and play for free, and put themselves in the shop window. Reports are suggesting that Fitzroy Simpson has agreed a move to Saudi Arabia. Simpson returned to the Bescot on a non-contract basis after failing to secure a deal elsewhere this summer. Saddler’s fans will see this as a blow. Simpson made a positive impact in his only two appearances this season. His steadying influence was noticeable in the victories against Forest and Brighton. Despite having a second chance to offer Simpson a contract the club have declined. They obviously feel they have enough quality in the midfield area. This is shocking considering that O'Connor is struggling to stay fit, and Martinez and Sonner are facing suspensions. Walsall may rue the departure of Simpson, this is a missed opportunity.Colin Lee has played a 3-5-2 system in recent games, and the players seem comfortable with it . So now we are short on central midfielders, and we face the prospect of Wrack and Matias filling in, which is a prospect many of us dread. Lee may have something up his sleeve regarding this issue, Nationwide League Clubs are allowed to sign players as long as they are British, so we will wait and see what happens.
