The Sky Blue Trust has announced it's next two meetings to take place at the Coventry City Supporters Club at Freehold Steet, Hillfields, Coventry. The first, a Public Meeting, is to take place on Monday 19th January at 7.30pm. It is to update & advise all supporters who registered an interest, are interested in or who have joined the Supporters Trust to hear of the progress made to date & to explain the process of registration of the constitution, the interim board & board elections due to take place to the Trust board before the first AGM & the next steps in the development of the Trust.

Trust members will also propose if & how the limited Trust funds should be spent, including an offer whether to buy shares made available by a private sale to the Trust. The meeting is open to Trust members & the public, membership to the Trust will be available on the night. Membership forms can also be downloaded from the Trust website www.skybluetrust.co.uk

The second meeting on Monday 26th January from 7.30pm, is open to Trust members only, is the inaugural meeting of the West Midlands Trusts
association including a keynote speech by Brian Lomax, (retiring Managing Director of Supporters Direct).

The WMT association is a formal group of Supporters Trusts from both League & Non League clubs based in & around the West Midlands including Coventry, West Bromwich, Walsall, Nuneaton Borough, Kidderminister, Worcester & Aston Villa. It is designed to be a forum of Midlands Trusts to pool & share ideas, funding strategies & resources. It follows the successful launching of an East Midlands group last year. Representatives from The East Midlands will address the meeting as well as supporters from South West & Northern England will also attend with a view of following the Midlands lead & launching their own group.

It is particularly poinient that this meeting is hosted in Coventry at the Supporters Club given the importance of Coventry City Supporters Club in the early 1900's with Herbert Kendall & Lewis Bennington being instrumental in the setting up of Supporters Clubs around the UK & the National Footall Supporters Federation.
