After six months of careful preparation & consultation the Sky Blue Trust is finally ready to present itself to the supporters of the Sky Blues.
The Sky Blue Trust will hold a launch party this Friday, 31st October, at the Coventry City Supporters Club in Freehold Street Hillfields to celebrate six months of hard work by its volunteer working party on establishing a
positive, democratic, agenda free Supporters Trust for the fans of the Sky Blues.
After holding an encouraging first meeting with Mike McGinnity & Graham Hover, the Trust hopes to build a positive relationship with the club & achieve a constructive dialogue to help represent the views of the Highfield Road faithful & further unite the fans behind the club.
The launch party, which begins at 8pm, will feature two local Coventry groups ‘Skabilly Rebels’, featuring ex Special Roddy Radiation, & an acoustic set by ‘Fine Line’, as well as comedian Sean Blue Army.
The members of the working party, who have formed an interim Trust Board, will attend the celebration & outline the Trust’s aims.
Representatives of Supporters Direct & the Coventry City Supporters Club will also make contributions.
A number of VIP guests have been invited from local organisations & the CCFC Chairman, Chief Executive & Jo Lea - public relations & press officer, will represent the club.
The Trust will also be distributing membership leaflets on Saturday & the Supporters Club will be open from 12 midday, for fans who wish to join the Trust before the West Ham match or fans can download a membership form from www.skybluetrust.co.uk.
