Failure to finish teams off before they get a chance to steal a point is slightly knocking our bid to play Aston Villa next season! (And maybe Chelsea!). 

Silly mistakes versus Doncaster allowed Burton to over-take us by winning their game in hand. That said, being top of the pile might cost them their manager!  

Automatic promotion rivals Walsall have definitely lost their boss - here's hoping both do, and are weakened by those departures. 

Reice Charles-Cook possibly won't want to watch replays of last weekend's game, but, again, it's difficult to criticise a youngster that has already broken records. So I won't! 

Four clean sheets in his first four league games, 580 minutes without conceding, and half-an-hour from breaking a record that had stood for 80 years .... we've certainly had worse keepers! 

Our lofty position of second is all the more surprising because our squad is filled with loan players. As a fair few of the 'arm-chair experts' have previously pointed out, 'loan signings are no good for us because their heart isn't in it'. 

Somebody should perhaps tell Armstrong, Murphy, and Kent this. Armstrong's goal record would suggest otherwise, and there are times when Jacob Murphy looks unplayable! 

Those three quality English youngsters would be largely ignored at the clubs that own them, but are more than proving their worth with Coventry City, and building reputations. The country can thank us when they help England win the World Cup in 2022! 

Everyday there seems to be a 'Will He?/Won't He? Be Leaving In January' story about Adam Armstrong. Most/all fans want him to stay, but there is nothing we can do, so let's just appreciate the fact he's here, and deal with his leaving if/when he goes. 

The only real disappointment this season is attendances. With no game between 28th November and 16th December, I would have thought more people would make the effort versus Doncaster. 

It's not the board that needs to back the team now, it's the fans. May I suggest, rather than the usual unwanted Christmas gifts, people buy tickets for presents! (A mere £169 for a half season ticket, if you're feeling particularly generous!). 

Tickets for the Oldham game on December 19th are £10 for adults, and 'Kids For A Quid' - a (pre-Christmas) gift at the price!

If I get to have one wish for Christmas, it's that Tony Mowbray gives us one full season (Minimum) - if I get two, Armstrong staying too is the other!TM's failure to do so will have me doubting Santa Claus is real....
