Another disappointing performance, another disappointing result, the pressure continues to build.

Kris Taylor replaced Samways in the midfield, Emblen moved in to the defence to play in a back 3 while Corica replaced Birch.  The Saddlers never really got to grips with their opponents and never looked like taking all 3 points.

We did have chances in the first half, but they were long range efforts from Corica and Osborn. Wigan had the best chances of the first half with Mahon seeing his effort blocked by Ritchie, while Bullard was denied by a great Jim Walker save.

We witnessed another slack second half performance where we allowed our opponents to take over the game.

Walker had a busy half denying Vos, Ellington and Liddell before Ellington eventually broke the deadlock on 81 minutes.

Matias lost possession, the ball fell to Roberts who played in Ellington to fire home. Wigan could have made it 2 or 3 as the game came to an end with Mahon and Liddell having more good chances.

Its now 64 days and counting since our last win.
